Bindies Abound<\/strong>: Please remember to wear your thongs, flip-flops, or slides when walking from the club to the creek as the grass on the foreshore is full of bindies, soon to turn into prickles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maroochy River Paddle<\/strong>: Another successful Maroochy River Paddle (MRP)! Participants praised the smooth running of the race. A huge thank you to the dedicated volunteers who ensured the day went off without a hitch and everyone remained safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boat Storage<\/strong>: A big thanks to John Smallwood for conducting the final boat storage audit. We appreciate all the responses, which helped clarify several storage issues. Our records are now fully updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We often get questions from members about doing tasks in exchange for boat storage or other fees. While we value volunteer contributions, it’s challenging to fairly quantify this type of work. To keep things simple and equitable, it\u2019s better if everyone pays the required fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a related note, recent changes by the Office of Fair Trading regarding the declaration of \u2018freebies\u2019 to members would require us to keep a detailed register and submit annual reports to comply with these rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
