Christmas Party<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Our Christmas get together will held at the club house on 4 December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Tim\u2019s Time Trial Training\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Due to competing priorities, Tim\u2019s Time Trial Training has been postponed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Paddle Qld Awards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This year we nominated the following people for the PQ awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Junior Paddler of the Year: Kate Regan<\/p>\n\n\n\n Volunteer of the Year: Bob Hamblet<\/p>\n\n\n\n Coach of the Year: Jason Keating<\/p>\n\n\n\n Photo of the Year: Paul Shipton<\/p>\n\n\n\n Club of the Year: Sunshine Coast Paddlesports Club<\/p>\n\n\n\n While we feel all our nominations were deserving to win, our award this year was for the photo of the year. Credited to Paul Shipton but taken by his wife Csilla Faller, the shot captured Rod Taylor and Don MacDonald during the marathon portage in February at Lake Kawana. It encapsulates the team work needed for success in a K2 with paddlers in exact timing.
