The upgraded software has truly proven to be challenging!
Maroochy River Race: A big thank you to those who’ve already volunteered – your support is greatly appreciated. We still need a few more helping hands for various roles:
- Registration Table (2 Volunteers): We require assistance from 7-9am at Dunethin Rock Scout Hall. Your primary task will be to check off participants as they collect their designated bags.
- Parking Attendant: If you’re available from 7am to 9am, your role will be to ensure parking at Dunethin Rock Scout Grounds is organised efficiently.
- Boat Scrutineers (2 Volunteers): We need individuals to perform flotation checks at both Dunethin Rock Pontoon and Dunethin Rock Boat Ramp (300m down from Scout Hall).
- Finish Line Officials (2 Volunteers): We’re looking for backup support for the Webscorer process. Your task will involve manually recording numbers and times as craft cross the finish line.

Parking at Fishermans Road: A heads-up regarding parking around the club area – Council parking officers will be active in ensuring compliance. To avoid a potential $600 infringement notice, please use designated parking spaces rather than parking on grass or gravel when spots are available.
Myall Lakes Classic:The Lance Cove River Kayakers have shared details about the 2023 Myall Classic race. Club members who have previously participated gave these highlights:
- The race boasts breathtaking scenery.
- Participants can choose from three different distances.
- It’s a trip worth considering, possibly turning it into a long weekend adventure.
