September 2022 Newsletter

Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying your spring weather paddling. It is certainly nice to have some light in the eastern sky when getting on the water these days. A very bland newsletter this month.  If you have any photos from the Maroochy River Paddle please share/ post them to our face book page.

AGM

The club AGM will be held on Saturday 4 November 2022 9am at the clubhouse.

PQ Marathon Titles

The state marathon titles are scheduled for 8 & 9 October at Coomera.  This is a full racing weekend with the combination of schools events as well. See PQ website for details.

Come & Try; Learn to Paddle

Our next come and try started on 10 September and will run for four weeks.  This will be followed by the eight week learn to paddle course.  Please see our facebook page for dates and times and spread the word to people you know who may want to have a go.  Please advise Delia of your intention to attend.

Membership

If you are not a financial member, you are not covered by insurance and you are not entitled to vote at the AGM.  Boat storage is a critical item for club income and was the main reason to seek a grant to extend the club house as there are many requests for boat storage.  If you have not paid your fees and boat storage, your craft may be removed to make way for people willing to pay.

Training Session Summer Start Time

Please note that training times for Saturday and Sunday wind back to 6:30am from October.
