Hello everyone, I hope you’re managing to stay well, warm and on the water in these winter months.
Membership
Your membership runs on a financial year. A number of people have contacted me saying they are not renewing due to health or moving reasons. Please keep in mind that you are always welcome to paddle when your wrist, shoulder, lungs, illness improves; and that we’d love to see you if you are visiting the region.
Maroochy River Paddle
This is shaping up to be a fantastic event. Funds raised helps keep our club afloat (pun intended) and provide paddling related services to club and community members. Part of funds raised through the event goes towards a donation to the Hear and Say Foundation (Nambour). New sponsors this year are PJ Burns Builder, Viking Trucks, Ocean Paddler, Gara Paddles and Pure Paddling. North Coast Foods, South East Civil, Alexandra Headland SLSC, North Shore Realty, Carruthers Contracting and Future Plus Environmental have been long term supporters of this event. Cricks Maroochydore Subaru came on board last year and are again part of our valued supporters.

Clubhouse Extension Grant Application
Thanks to everyone who helped with the grant application for an extension to the clubhouse. However, we were not successful. Feedback so far is “application meritorious but fund is oversubscribed and application was not able to be funded”. Not to be perturbed we’ll try again in the next super round.
John Newton Team Boat Challenge
