Hello everyone, by now you will be aware that the Qld Sprint Championships were cancelled for 5 & 6 February due to the weather / wind. I hope you can be available to either paddle or volunteer at the new dates of 5 & 6 March. The venue remains the same.
This Sunday 13 February is our time trial Come along for a quick 7.5km and a cuppa afterwards.
We have noticed that there is some equipment missing around from the club. This includes two junior paddles (one with white blades and one with black blades); and a junior life jacket. Please return these to the club. It is absolutely fine to use club equipment and on occasion take it away from the club. However please ensure you request and advise the committee via an email to the club sunshinecoastpaddlesportsclub@gmail.com Asking / telling me is fine but I’m often busy with a myriad of things while at the club (not to mention my own paddling), so to re-iterate it via an email will be appreciated.
We are planning to apply for a grant from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund for an extension to the club house. To ensure we have all bases covered in the grant application, we will hold a meeting on Tuesday 15 February at the club house at 5:30pm to discuss items that should be included the costing estimate. Your contribution is welcome and we hope to see you there. If you cannot make it but wish to contribute, please send your ideas via email to the club address above. I will circulate and agenda and plans for your perusal under a separate email.
